    Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14th, 1865 in fords theater and died the following day at
    7:22 am. The assassination was part of a larger conspiracy intended to revive the confederate cause by eliminating the three most important officials of the US government.....President Lincoln, Vise President Johnson, and Secretary of  State Seward.
    This photo is of the hanging of four people that took part in the conspiracy, Lewis Powell, David Herold, George Atzerodt, and Marry Surratt. Booth was shot dead after a 12 day manhunt.
