All the usages of the term shemira (guarding, safekeeping) in the Torah by R. Hayyim Meir ben Mordecai Boll (Bolotowsky; d. 1937). Shemira Tova encompasses, according to the title page, explanations of the prohibitions on shaving one’s beard by all means of shaving including salves and specifically razors, the poor situation concerning ritual slaughter in New York and the United States in general, according to what the author has personally observed during a period of eighteen years in the country. He has added references from the all Talmud to for halakhah le-Moshe me-Sinai mentioned in the Talmud and Rashi, or in Tosafot. He states that he has written this according to the halakhah mussar, and according to the holy Zohar. There is an index of the contents, a lengthy introduction form the author, a list of the places where shemira appears in the Torah, and the text in a single column in square letters. Part two of the book is, as noted on the title page, halakhah le-Moshe me-Sinai, organized by tractate. It concludes with a discourse on gemilut Hasidim.
