Description
SHC-10. Nice ANTIQUE Fraternal order hanging badge with acronym "FCB", which stands for the Pythian motto ("Friendship, Charity, Benevolence"). Celluloid clasp hands at the top and “Member” in center. Bottom part is an approx. 2 x 2 inch Circular celluloid iconic Crest mounted inside of embossed goldtone metal bezel. Crest shows a Knight’s helmet with an Eagle on the top; crossed Axes, and a shield with letters “FCB”. The top and bottom celluloid images are a little cloudy and show brown toning specks. The middle “Member” is either an ivory color plastic or possibly ivory??? Length of badge is 4 inches. Made by the famous “Whitehead & Hoag Co. of Newark, New Jersey.” NO date but stated “Pat. Apped. For”. The dark area on the upper right side of back is where the gold color appears to been scraped off the back. Minor wear. No broken metal pieces. Very Good condition.Sold AS IS.
