Antique Victorian Edwardian European 585 14kt Gold (Alexandrite or Color Change Sapphire),Chased "Forget Me Not" flower ring
European HALLMARKS INSIDE band-,ALL OF THE HALLMARKS are inside "cartouches",inside the band,they include-(585),(AR),and another mark-probably maker--or letter for year.(AR) is probably Arezzo for Arezzo Italy. (585)-Europe usually marks their gold content purity this way.The beautiful chased designs of floral "Forget Me Not's"and scrolls are common of the Victorian and Edwardian period.
This is a substantial statement ring.
Size 7 1/4--7 1/2----stone alone is 11mm tall,and 8mm wide
Face is 5/8 inches tall,and 3/4 inches wide,and 1/4 inch deep.
Center stone is 3/8 inch tall,and 1/4 inch wide.
"This" stone does have inclusions,it changes from a Pale Light Blue Aquamarine Color,to a Deep Royal Blue,to a Pinkish Purple.I do not see any flaws on the stone,it is highly reflective,and transparent.It changes in the varying shades of light,and dark.(Stone has not been tested),vivid,and sparkly,and clean----gorgeous ring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The shoulders have a very intricate detailed chased design,can't say enough how pretty this ring is.   Boxes and other jewelry "not" included but are for sale in my other listings
