Antique Victorian G.F. chatelaine mechanical pen pencil w carnelian gemstone

Here is this amazing antique Victorian circa 1900 gold filled adjustable pen pencil combo with two separate slides one for the pen but still has its original nib and the other for the pencil the still has some original lead in it and you can write with . It weighs 11.5 grams and measures 3 3/4 inches from and to and when closed but 4 3/4 inches with the pen nib extended all the way out . The orange gemstone in the and has been professionally tested as carnelian not glass and this old beauty has a original double jump ring as it is also a chatelain pendant that would be worn from a chain with the pen tucked in the front pocket . Both of the slides are very sturdy and a little stiff from not being used and the On threads so it can hold extra pencil lead inside of it . It has been carefully examined under magnification and the goal to fill is very well preserved with only a couple spots here and there actually identifying it as gold filled .
