    Lot of 2 Vtg SYMONDS Art Deco Cast Iron Register Vent Grates #233 13 1/2” by 9 5/8”!
    ESTATE FIND! Someone tore down an old house years ago and had the foresight to do some architectural salvage. I purchased a dozen of these grates and I’m selling a lot of two in this auction. Please check my other listings if you are interested in buying more, or reach out to see how many I have left.
    These *ORIGINAL ANTIQUE* A
    rt Deco
    grates have an outside measurement of approximately 13 1/2” x 9 5/8”. Back is embossed with Patent dates of 1900 and 1907, as well as the SYMONDS name. Both feature a gold/brass look.
    Condition is generally good. Since they are over 100 years old, there are some rusty spots, and of course they could use a good cleaning. One is missing a side screw, as shown in the last photo. I imagine you could re-create this for a couple dollars at any Ace Hardware store. Otherwise complete and in working condition.
    Buy them for highlights to your room or collection, or refinish them and restore them to their original glory then install them in your older house!
