Vintage Bottle Opener Spoon, Frantz Cream Rye Whiskey, Somerset County, PAThis unusual steel advertising piece has a bottle opener on one end and a spoon on the other. One side is inscribed, "Drink Frantz's Cream Rye Whiskey All-Ways". The other side: "From Old Man Frantz". Approximately 8" long. This distillery was originally built in the late 1800's, and went through several ownerships (Baer, Schultz, Minor, Hawking, Leech) before a Pittsburgh man named Frantz bought it in the early 1930's and, after prohibition, began making what was said to be some of the finest whiskey ever made in the US.
