    Vintage Bottle Opener Spoon, Frantz Cream Rye Whiskey, Somerset County, PA
    This unusual steel advertising piece has a bottle opener on one end and a spoon on the other.  One side is inscribed, "Drink Frantz's Cream Rye Whiskey All-Ways".  The other side:  "From Old Man Frantz".  Approximately 8" long.  This distillery was originally built in the late 1800's, and went through several ownerships (Baer, Schultz, Minor, Hawking, Leech) before a Pittsburgh man named Frantz bought it in the early 1930's and, after prohibition, began making what was said to be some of the finest whiskey ever made in the US.  Distilling, warehousing and bottling ceased in the 1950's.  Own this unique relic of the country's early distillery history!  Buyer pays shipping.  Thank you for your interest.
