One of the rarest of all the 1950s state map decals is this beauty from MASSACHUSETTS "THE BAY STATE," produced by the famous LINDGREN-TURNER CO.
There are other, later versions more commonly seen, but this early decal is very well-drawn with great attention to detail. It has tiny graphics of all the state's best loved attractions and locales including Martha's Vinyard, Bunker Hill, Plymouth Rock, and even the famous Hoosac Tunnel. The colors are very bright and vibrant and the decal is in first class condition with just minor bending to mar its perfection.
The decal is numbered MS-1 and measures 4" wide by 2 5/8" tall and is in its original glassine sleeve. It is a very hard-to-find vintage decal that will make a significant addition to any serious collection.
