Yellow Tail is a brand of renowned wine produced by Casella Wines based in Yenda, Australia (which has a population of approximately 1000 people). In Italy the Casella family had produced wines since the 1820s. In 1951 the Casella family, headed by Filippo Casella and his wife Maria, moved to Australia creating a business supplying wine to other well known wineries in Australia. The Casella family created the Yellow Tail brand around the year 2000, initially marketed to export to countries and soon becoming the number one imported wine to the USA by 2003. In that time the family-owned winery expanded 10 times its original size. Yellow Tail's famed and unique advertising campaign in the United States has garnered much attention and ranges from large scale billboards to mural size ADs on their unique black delivery trucks.
